A federal funding freeze had put over one million adult learners at risk of losing critical education services nationwide, and Sharon Bonney (pronounced ‘Bonnie’), CEO of the Coalition on Adult Basic Education (COABE), was out and about sounding the alarm to expose the crisis. The funds were finally released, but the fight isn’t over.
