Are You Utilizing Instagram Collabs?

Instagram collab posts are an easy way to communicate with multiple people on the platform. Collabs are feed posts or reels you create with other Instagram users, sharing likes, comments, engagement stats, and audiences. Once you create a post, you can invite a collaborator to join. If they accept your invitation, the post will be visible in their feed.

Tagging and Instagram collabs are different. Tagging is putting a user tag on a post. Collaboration is sharing your feed post on other accounts. The best part is that the stats are merged. Every like and view of the post gets on its account and goes to you, and vice versa. This is a great way to naturally “exchange” audiences. When collaborating with another creator, ensure you have a similar target audience. More shares, comments, and saves equals more engagement, and more engagement equals the Instagram algorithms favoring you.

Learn more about how Instagram collabs can help grow your platform from Allen Media Strategies Jeff Johnson at (703)819-6777 or email jeff@allenmediastrategies.com.
