Singer-songwriter Kate Boytek has made the list of
“The Top 10 Independent Female Country Artists Right Now”.
The list is compiled by the influential “Boots and Whiskey” podcast, YouTube channel and “Beats/Beers/Bonfires” lifestyle blog at https://beatsbeerbonfires.com/2022/07/21/top-10-independent-female-country-artists-right-now/?fbclid=IwAR19OWgB5dvdb4_kbKzRZqmsSzb_YFTqkjDUpZ8TsO-_2TPxMvkPv1dBnck
“It is always an honor to be recognized for your hard work and passion, and to be included in that list with those other amazing women,” said Boytek, currently in the studio working with producer Britton Cameron on tracks from her debut CD.
Boytek has had a busy summer, with opening stints for Easton Corbin, LoCash, Drew Parker, The Davisson Brothers Band and Little Texas, a string of headlining theater, festival, and club dates across the Mid Atlantic and several writer’s rounds in Nashville.
In naming Kate to their top 10, “Boots and Whiskey” says of the West Virginia born-and-bred artist “if you don’t know about her, what the hell are you doing? She has quite the voice and a hell of a personality that really comes out…check out Kate you won’t be disappointed.”
Boytek is managed by Burke Allen with Allen Artists and has been signed to an artist development deal with Bernard Porter’s PCG Universal Nashville.

A show honoring the legacy of “Motown: The Musical” mastermind Smokey Robinson is coming to the Colonial Theater in Pittsfield. The tribute show is called “Smokey & Me: A Celebration of Smokey Robinson,” and it all comes together because of one personal relationship. Here to talk about that is Tony-Nominated Broadway Star Charl Brown.
On opening night of Motown: The Musical, Smokey Robinson, known as “The King of Motown” and one of the show’s producers, went backstage to look for Charl Brown, the handsome young actor who portrayed him in the show. Upon finding him, he smiled and simply said, “Hello, Me!.” This meeting became the inspiration for a spectacular show that celebrates the life, music and career of acclaimed singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson, once pronounced by Bob Dylan as America’s “greatest living poet.” Smokey Robinson’s career spans over four decades of hits. He has received numerous awards including the Grammy Living Legend Award, NARAS Lifetime Achievement Award, Honorary Doctorate (Howard University), Kennedy Center Honors and the National Medal of Arts Award from the President of the United States. He has also been inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame.
