Allen Media Strategies CEO Burke Allen contributes chapter to new book “Author’s Guide to Marketing With Teeth”
Burke Allen, one of the country’s top experts on PR, media and marketing for authors, has contributed a chapter to the new release Author’s Guide to Marketing With Teeth from Seventh Star Press.
Author’s Guide to Marketing with Teeth is a collection of essays and interviews on marketing and advertising for authors and books. Allen’s old childhood friend, award winning author Michael Knost put the compilation together and contacted Allen to request his contribution. In his career, Allen has helped dozens of authors develop media and marketing strategies that have landed them on thousands of television, radio, print and online media outlets around the world, including all the major network and cable TV news shows, syndicated radio programs, major newspapers, magazines and web portals.
Along with his work as both a fiction and non-fiction author, Knost has spent more than a quarter of a century in marketing, working in the radio, television, and newspaper industries, as well as serving as marketing director and chief marketing officer for several large companies, including those in the automotive industry.
Burke said that “Mike has taken the lessons he’s learned from his extensive experience as an author and as someone who helps authors and has captured the best tips and advice for authors, or really anyone in the publishing industry, who hope to increase their sales and brand recognition. I’m honored to have been asked to contribute, and I keep a copy of the book on my desk as a quick reference at all times to refer to when looking for great cutting edge strategies for our author clients.”
Each chapter covers a different subject with tips on theory and execution. The book also includes interviews Knost conducted with several successful authors to learn about their personal marketing strategies, from when they began their careers to now. Contributors include Charlaine Harris, Diana Gabaldon, Jonathan Maberry, Kevin J. Anderson, Lucy A. Snyder, and Dan Poynter.
Author’s Guide to Marketing With Teeth is available now at Amazon.com and bookstores everywhere.
